The PreDicta consortium is coordinated by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens(NKUA – Pr Nikolaos G Papadopoulos) and links together 11 leading clinical and research centres of international standing and 1 industrial partner from Greece, Belgium, United Kingdom, Austria, Finland ,Germany, Switzerland and France.

The approach of PreDicta is interdisciplinary, containing several strengths: outstanding expertise and track-record on clinical cohorts of asthmatic patients, virology and RV research, epithelial biology, immunology and inflammation research. Leading core units of the consortium have substantially contributed to our current understanding of the role of respiratory infections in asthma, the immuno-inflammatory processes involved both in human cohorts and mouse models, and the development of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for this disease.

This Academic effort is complemented by the participation of BIOMAY, an SME fully dedicated to the development of novel diagnostic and immunotherapeutic approaches for allergic diseases and asthma.
